Electrical I/C Maintenance Intern, Lukas Ellis, has spent his summer doing preventative and corrective maintenance procedures relating to the operation of the power plant.
In his internship, Lukas has mostly been involved in these maintenance-related jobs. He has also learned how an industrial environment operates and how power is generated from coal. Lukas says, “I have enjoyed working with the people in my department, as well as the kind of work I am assigned.”
Being over halfway through this internship, Lukas has come to the conclusion that he would like to work in a field similar to power generation. His future plans haven’t changed; he will continue his education this fall and graduate in May. After graduation, he will look for a job in this industry.
