The coal and energy industries have changed a lot over the years. Now more than ever, it’s important for prospective employees to understand the latest developments in clean coal technology, sustainability, and safe practices. To accomplish this goal, Prairie State has partnered with colleges and universities to develop the programs that will produce our next generation of leaders.

Inexperienced Miner Classes
Each month, Prairie State hosts a free 40-hour training class, open to individuals interested in learning the skills needed to become a contracted employee at our coal mine. Former experience is not required, and there is no cost to participate, making this a great training opportunity!
