PSGC Recognized by American Red Cross

In January 2015, an all-volunteer group of employees who believed that we can and should invest in the community created a Blood Drive Committee. The committee recognized that blood donations could raise the outlook for healthcare self-sufficiency in southern Illinois, and the sheer importance of saving the lives of local people. This week, the American Red Cross recognized Prairie State, the Blood Drive Committee, and our employees for their support in 2015 and 2016. In 2015, 296 pints of blood were collected, and 396 were collected in 2016– this equates to more than 2,000 lives saved!
