Prairie State is pleased to welcome Madisyn Wienstroer as the Communications Intern this summer!
Madisyn attends the University of Missouri-Columbia where she majors in journalism, and minors in business and psychology. She chose this major because it allows her to be creative and work with other people. “This career gives me an opportunity to constantly connect with people of different professions, be hands on in my work, and stay creative. I love how versatile the career is and how it is always evolving.”
While at Mizzou, Madi joined the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and is part of the content team for the upcoming recruitment. She is also part of the Letters of Love organization and works part-time at the MizzouRec as a Sports & Competition Frontline worker. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling, playing intramural sports, spending time with family, and taking her dog on walks.
Madisyn chose Prairie State because of the opportunity it would provide for her career. “I was so excited when I heard I got the position here. It is an amazing opportunity to be able to learn from professionals and gain experience in the corporate environment. Taking on this position has allowed me to see firsthand what my career will be like and how I can improve.”
Madisyn will return to Mizzou for her sophomore year. After college, she plans to pursue a master’s in business and start a successful career.
