Meet the Intern: Brady Kuhl

Prairie State is pleased to welcome Brady Kuhl as our Electrical Engineering Intern for the summer!

Brady is currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). When asked why he chose this field of work, he shared, “I find electricity very interesting and like to work with it. I figured it would make the best career choice for me.”

Brady brings over four years of well-rounded work experience to his internship. He spent a year and a half at Dairy King, worked as a lifeguard for a summer, and has spent the past two years detailing vehicles at Jansen Chevrolet. Outside of work and school, Brady enjoys playing video games and is an active member in both a bags league and a bowling league.

Through his internship at Prairie State, Brady hopes to expand his knowledge of the power generation industry. “I hope to get a better understanding of power generation in itself; I haven’t learned a whole lot about it in school yet, and I’m interested to see if this is something I want to pursue as a career,” he said.

Brady will return to SIUE in the fall to complete his senior year. After graduation, he plans to stay in the area and pursue a career at a power plant.
