Meet the Intern: Logan Wynes

Prairie State is happy to welcome Logan Wynes as our Mechanical Engineering Intern this summer!

This fall, Logan will return to the Missouri University of Science & Technology (S&T) to complete his studies in mechanical engineering with an emphasis on energy conversion. He chose this program because he loves to work with energy and fluids and enjoys solving problems.

At S&T, Logan was a Resident Assistant this past school year. He is also involved in hall government, student council, longboarding club, and the Automotive Performance Engineering Society. A fun fact about Logan is that he has owned nine different vehicles in the past six years!

Logan previously held an internship in warehouse management at Worlds on Fun in Kansas City, where he directed a team to receive, deliver, and store goods for the amusement park.

“I chose Prairie State because I am eager to learn about the power generation industry and to use my education to make an impact for the business,” shared Logan. “I am looking forward to learning how the power plant operates and seeing what a real engineer does on a daily basis.”

Logan will graduate from S&T this December; his goal is to find a career where he can use his education, work with energy, and make a noticeable impact for his future employer.
