Electrical I/C Maintenance Intern, Logan Salger, has spent his summer assisting full-time employees with daily tasks such as replacing circuit breakers, ground fault interrupters, and variable-frequency drives.
Logan’s projects have been updated on a daily basis; each day he receives his job tasks along with his coworkers. He has studied electrical blueprints for parts and jobs, allowing him to gain experience in the field. Logan says, “I have enjoyed getting the hands-on experience in the workforce and working with employees that know so much about the electrical field.”
This internship has helped strengthen Logan’s idea that he is in the right field. His future plans include getting a job in the electrical field, whether at Prairie State, Ameren, or a similar company.
