It’s a great way to learn not just what the industry is today, but what it will be tomorrow.
Internship Application
Our internships run the gamut from electrical and mechanical engineering to facilities management and everything in between. We love to share our energy campus with the next generation of leaders. Each year, Prairie State offers a paid summer internship program to students enrolled in college or technical degree programs from a number of different disciplines. Selected interns will have the opportunity to work with our professionals in our three areas of concentration: coal mining, power generation, and corporate services. Internships are typically scheduled to begin at the end of May and last approximately 10 to 12 weeks.
We know the best talent starts their internship search early. That’s why our recruitment efforts are done in the fall, with internship positions posted around September.
