Lively Grove Mine Celebrates 10th Anniversary
In August, our Lively Grove Mine celebrated the 10th anniversary of the first coal cut from the mine. On that day, they raised this flag to celebrate their recent CORESafety certification. Last week, Prairie State’s Lively Grove Mine was recognized for having the lowest incident rate of a Division I mine in the state of Illinois. This honor was awarded at the annual state mine rescue contest, which hosted teams from Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana.
