Last Friday, February 24, Prairie State’s mine team achieved a record production day, with over a mile of coal mined! While we value production, we know safety must always be kept at the forefront, which is why we are pleased to share that there were no reported incidents or citations on this extraordinatory day.
This 5,340 feet of coal equates to 36,312 tons of fuel for our power plant. We congratulate our team on this accomplishment and give thanks to all the miners who made this possible. Great job, team!
