Prairie State is pleased to welcome William Lisota as one of our Mechanical Engineering Interns this summer.
William is from Crete, Illinois. This fall, he will be entering his senior year in the mechanical engineering program at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. William is the captain of the Saluki Quidditch team; this team competes in tournaments in the fall and spring. In past summers, William has worked at an animal shelter and as a landscaper.
William chose Prairie State because he always wanted to work in the energy industry. Since it is close to his school, he could stay in Carbondale, which was another deciding factor for him.
This summer, William will be analyzing burner trends to determine possible outage causes. He will also be adding a flow meter to one of the turbine control valves. William anticipates a summer full of learning. “I am looking forward to starting a project and seeing it through to completion.”
After his internship, William will graduate in spring. He will then look for a job in the energy industry, either in Southern Illinois, or closer to his hometown near Chicago.
