What are Coal Combustion Residuals?

Prairie State Energy Campus hosted an informational meeting and open house on Wednesday, July 11 at its Training Center, the former Johnnisburg School in Venedy. In the first picture, Dr. Lisa Bradley, expert coal ash toxicologist, presented her information, "What are Coal Combustion Residuals?" to the attendees. In addition to discussing its new coal combustion residual monofill, attendees were able to ask questions to different company departments, including Contractor Relations, Human Resources, Community Relations, Environmental, Health & Safety and Coal Combustion Residual Engineering.

In the second picture, Human Resource department employees Rita Bauman and Debbie Matson chat with PSGC CEO, Peter DeQuattro, Sr. VP of Power Plant Operations, Keith Bastain, and Washington County residents. Finally, the third picture features one of the informational tables, CCR Engineering, led by Chris Landoll, CCR Senior Engineer for PSGC.
